Do you like Christmas?

I really love the weather of Hawai'i because personally I don't like the freezing weather much. Last year I had the first Hawai'i-Christmas. Hmm..., it was kind of light bulb festival for me rather than Christmas.
By and large, I'd just spent Christmas at the regions where had winter, sipping hot coffee. In Hawaii I couldn't feel like Santa Claus might ride a sleigh on the warm green but he'd rather put on a Superbowl uniform holding an almond. And while being at Waikiki, I heard Hawaiian songs more that carol songs.
I didn't take those two pictures at an amuzement park but in front of a house. When I was in New York, It was big fun to vitsit the best Christmas-decorated house published on the New York Times. Giant Grinch, Pooh and Tigger welcomed me smaller than them. On the Eve and Chiristmas these places are crowded.
It was great experience to see Hawai'i and New York had different colors of Christmas; I think weather is a major factor. Anyway, traveling is fun. : )))

How do you learn a second language?

Thankfully, I'm studying at Kapiolani Community College in Hawaii now. As for me whose English is a second language, studying in the U.S. cannot be better to learn the language. Here, professors are not only my teachers but students are also my teachers. Before coming to Hawaii I was a short-term missionary in New York, 2006. That time my English was..., I don't know, terrible because that was almost my first visit to America. (It still sucks ha ha..) I just talked to people without knowing if they were understanding or not. While I stayed there two years, I had three mantras to learn English. (or foreign languages) The first mantra was "be a stupid." If you don't wanna be a stupid in front of people, it is impossible even to speak to them. In order not to be a stupid, you should make right sentences and always pretend to understand what they say; it's a great pressure and burden. If people despised me, I was despised; my hurt pride was not a big deal because that procedure improved my English. I just approached, taked to and listen to them. Even Being ridiculous before kids didn't matter at all. I was 25 but my English was under 5. (they enjoyed Shrek but I couldn't eve understand what the hell the green ogre and noisy donkey were talking about) The second was "just copy them." No matter how I try to write perfectly without any word, grammar and structure errors, I can never be better that the New York Times journalists. No matter how I tried to speak well, I couldn't be better that native speakers. So I just followed and spoke what they said. (not content but pronouciation, gesture, accent and so on) Lastly, "Be bold in speaking but humble in listening." One day I talked with a woman about Jesus Christ. But I couldn't understand what she said because she spoke so fast. And suddenly, she started crying. I didnt know why and still don't know. And I said something to her without knowing what she said. Suddenly she stopped crying and left. That time I realized listening was very important. Those mantras still work in Hawaii, 2009, and I'm learning too much. Anyway, travelling is fun. :PPP

How do you experience?

There are two ways to get experience; someone learns from photos and some other one learns by visiting. If a person sees a lion through a picture, she/he can know what shape it has, how the eyes look like or how long the tail is. The lion may look like cute in the frame. But in African safaris that have no bars between, people have different reactions after seeing lions. I remeber what my friend who lived in Alaska told me. While going for catching salmons(the salmon is really good. it has the red flesh.), he saw a bear afar off and was overwhelmed because it was so big and nimble.(it was Anchorage.) Photos cannot deliver that awesomeness. Do you know where I am now? People who like to travel to cities may make a list of downtowns that have a river and skyscraper line such as Toronto, New York, Boston, Chicago and othe states in their heads. And for the next step they may look for the highest buildings on the photo. If it's the CN tower, it's gonna be Toronto dawntown, which i am not in. If it's the Empire State Building, It's New York. Boston? I don't know. If the Sears building's there, you are right! As for people who have never been those sites I think they have no idea for my question. People who saw pictures of the cities may, I don't know, stuggle to discern. Anyway, travelling is fun :DD

My first step into Hawaii in 2006

When I first came to Hawaii in 2006, what's the most strange was that I could feel the sun and rain simutaneously. Even though generally, no I'm not sure, personally, I knew it rained when it's cloudy, that phenomenon plus the rainbow was the first impression I got from the isle. Koreans call the rain 여우비. (ask if you have Korean dudes) Hawaii was more beautiful than I expected. Especially, as these photes show, the sky was wonderful. Even if That time was February I don't understand why it was rainy and windy this one. Anyway, that was the second impression. The water was also great. My friend and I are standing in the behind of the Convertion Center on the picture. Its water was not pure but Waikiki beach was so bluish and clean. It's been 7 months since I came back to Hawaii. I've never thought I would study here. College life in Hawaii is awesome and reminds me 3 year-ago-memory. Travelling is fun : ))

My first going overseas- Manhattan

I remember this was my first trip to New York city in 2006. I'd never seen the people passing by me that fast. They were at least twice faster than the people of the center of Seoul city. They were handsome, pretty, tall, trendy,... I don't know. Anyway those gorgeous people also moved like the wind. Personally I like people-watching, so it was kind of dizzy and hard but fun. Especially at the Time Square I could realize why people say, "I love N.Y." "The Lion King," "Gossip girl," "Model 21(?)," and many more popular shows were on the wall. They didn't allow my eyes waste time even a second. I still remeber Lebron James' grand picture was flying on a side of a building like the whale on a building's side in Waikiki. You don't have to be rich to enjoy Manhattan- $1.50 cream cheese bagel and $1 coffee is enough for a meal. Anyway, New York is the most fascinationg city I've ever seen.
